01 / THE PRINCIPLE
What this assembly is supposed to do
The collection zone lies outside the hull. A forward interface hands the putative substrate to a series of magnetic and optical components. The conversion section and exhaust must be separated from crew, sensors and vulnerable structures.

A proposed vessel length near 6.4 km and maximum hull diameter near 1.8 km appear in the integration notes. These do not establish the fit of alternate shield or reactor drawings.
